What to expect from Africa Group Joining Safari?

Itinerary Customization: Groups joining safaris have fixed itineraries that can’t be customized. Currently, we are offering group safari tours in Tanzania for 2–5 days. You can find the full list of our group joining safaris in Tanzania

Non-private vehicle: Everyone in your group will be riding the same safari vehicle for your game drives. It can either be a van or a 4WD, depending on your operator. A van carries more people, so bigger groups usually use this, while 4WD caters to 4 to 8 people, more or less.
Less flexibility: A safari day typically lasts for about 9–11 hours, including pick-up, drop-off, and game drive. Since you belong in a group and the group has already come up with a plan, itineraries are fixed, meaning if there is a place you are interested in spending longer hours at, this may not happen because the tour is for everyone. Group safaris often offer fixed itineraries, but there’s usually some flexibility to cater to the interests and preferences of the group. Whether you want to spend more time game viewing, take a nature walk, or simply relax at camp, your guide will strive to make your safari experience as enjoyable as possible. Pee breaks and meal times are also scheduled.
New friends: You will be able to meet a lot of new people during your journey, and you will be able to share your epic safari experience with them. Possibly from diverse backgrounds, prepare to learn more not only about the wilderness but also about each other!
Window seat guaranteed: Window seat is guaranteed with group-joining safaris. Usually, what happens is that you will take turns with some of your travel mates, so each gets window seat privileges, which is perfect for game viewing and photographing.
Different accommodations are possible. Staying in the same lodge or camp is not mandatory. Flexibility is given to travelers so they can tailor their experience according to their travel style and budget. You may stay in a lodge, and others may stay in a tent, but every day there will be designated pick-up and drop-off points.
Time is not under your control. Not everyone in the group will be staying in the same camp or lodge, and so delays may be experienced. Cross your fingers that all travelers will be considerate of the time.
Huge markdown: As a general rule, the more people you have on a tour, the cheaper the price. This is because you share expenses like fuel, vehicles, and guide/driver fees

Since we collect clients from different pickup points, delays on the part of one client will most likely impact the schedule of every other client in the group joining the tour. So, we request everyone to strictly maintain the timings shared with you by your briefing manager.

A pickup vehicle (Landcruiser or transfer vehicle) can wait for a maximum of 20 minutes. After that, the pickup vehicle might depart based on the call of our operations manager. In such cases, clients might be given the option of paying for separate transfer costs, converting their group joining safari into a private safari by paying additional fees or rescheduling their group joining safari to the next available date. Rescheduling fees will apply in such cases.

While we try our best to stick to schedule, clients on group safaris should be prepared for some delay in the arrival of our vehicle, as often it has to pick up clients from different locations in the town before arriving at yours. This means the pick-up can start at 7:30, but the time that you are picked might have been 8:30, and if you are the last person, then the safari will start from there.
