ITENARY (DAY TO DAY)

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

This 5 days Tanzania Private Safari starts when we meet you at Kilimanjaro international airport or Arusha airport and transfer to Planet Lodge in Arusha. Later our safari manager will come for safari briefing & leave you to spend the rest of the day enjoying the invitingly lodge’s facilities. The next day your guide takes you on an exclusive, private safari that allows you to travel at your own pace. Enjoy the luxury of your own safari jeep and take the liberty to stop and watch the animals as long as you like!

DAY 2: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Tarangire National Park is well known for its big groups of elephants and the huge amount of giant baobab trees. These trees can live for hundreds of years and are actually a source of water for elephants in the dry season as they have a special technique to draw water from them. Besides, the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the dry season, which is why in this season in Tarangire you can see groups of up to 250 elephants next to many more animals!

DAY 3 - 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (CENTRAL WEST/EAST)

Serengeti National Park is widely known as the place to go on safari, mainly because of the Great Migration that passes through here. The enormous, stampeding herds are impressive, as are the vast amount of predators that live here: over four thousand lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas and hundreds of wild dogs! And of course, plenty of other beautiful animals, which your guide will be delighted to search for together with you. Are you ready for this?

DAY 5: NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA (INCL. CRATER)

On this last day of your 5 Days Tanzania Private safari, you will have an early breakfast and descent into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a wonderful game drive (picnic lunch will be served in the Crater floor). As very few animals migrate in and out of the Crater with its 600 meters high walls you may expect to spot herds of African elephant, zebra, buffalo, warthog, hippos & the rare black rhinos in their natural habitat

Another big draw card in this big caldera is the denser population of predators which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs & the ever-elusive leopard which sometimes needs binoculars eyes to spot.

You will visit Lake Magadi large but shallow salt Lake on the southwest corner of the crater floor frequently visited by flocks of flamingos & other aquatic birds. Some hippos and other animals can also be seen around the Lake.

Later afternoon drive out & back to Arusha for drop off at Kilimanjaro international airport or for overnight in Arusha. (Accommodation on this day can be included upon request at extra cost).

The last day! Depending on your flight time, you can relax on the beach or explore the island just a little bit more.

A driver then takes you to Zanzibar International Airport in time for your flight home. Having second thoughts? It’s also possible to extend your holiday to another paradise island, such as Mnemba, Pemba, or Mafia!
